The Ground Up Dance Festival is the only dance focused festival in Kington. This year we have performances, classes, workshops, and creative residencies taking place. Out major performances feature a theatre premire of "After/ Always" featuring local professional artists, Christina Foster, Kay Kenney, Savannah Shea, and Anna Sudac. Inspired by the book “Women Who Run With Wolves” they portray a tumultuous and emotional jouney of stepping into the future of “self” all while carrying their intrinsic nature inside the boday. Don't miss this interdisciplinary show June 27th and 28th.
Come and join a morning class including yoga, youth classes, contempoary, and parterning. These classes are 90 minutes long and run July 7-July 12th for trained dancers and local community members.
Join us at Lake Ontario Park for our Mainstage event featuring a mix of contempoary and ballet dances including 15 different dancers from Kingston, Montreal, and Toronto. Bring a picnic and blaket and enjoy the beautiful lake side view while watching live dance. July 11th and 12th 7:00 pm
